Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)

Under the guidance of the Board of Health, it assesses and addresses the needs of the community in order to help protect and improve the health and quality of life of residents and visitors. This is carried out by the implementation of disease surveillance, health promotion, environmental health inspection, public outreach, education, and empowerment.

  • Division of Community Care  The DCC aims to offer support to individuals who have experienced or are currently experiencing difficult, challenging, and traumatic circumstances in their lives. The DCC is focused on assisting people in the community with addressing racial and social inequities, identifying and accessing resources to help meet their needs, and providing ongoing support through their Community Responders.

  • Community Responders are multidisciplinary crisis response professionals who provide outreach, education, and compassionate, judgment-free support to individuals in need. They promote recovery, provide harm reduction services, and work to remove barriers to accessing essential resources. Visit their website to learn more!
